Changing Seasons

Dainty milkweed babies,
Wrapped in cradles green,
Rocked by Mother Nature,
Fed by hands unseen.
Brown coats have the darlings,
Slips of milky white;
And wings - but that's a secret,
They're folded out of sight.

The earth browns and her

smell is sweetly pungent.

Milkweed bursts forth and

Ragweed is in full bloom.

...the changing of the seasons

The autumn leaves drift past my window 

and the wind and rain approach.  

The temperature is dropping

and I am ready for a...

Our magnificent autumn 

gives way to...

(Kids do know how to think grossly outside the box!)

and finally to...THIS!

So come the storms of winter

And then the birds in spring again.

I do not fear the time

Who knows how my love grows?

Who knows where the time goes?

Ah yes, the beauty and trials of change.  

Always something new to consider.
